Bought these from the world famous Metropolis Studio’s in London. Sold to me by Richard Bellingham, Head of Technical at Metropolis as new back in May of this year. They were for a Metropolis project that didn’t come to fruition. I wanted to shoot them out side by side with a pair of ATC SCM25A’s so I bought an as new secondhand pair of each and did some listening, a lot of listening, five months in fact as I could not decide for the life of me. One isn’t better than the other they just present differently. If you need and value extended lows, a more forward presentation and beautiful highs from the very special tweeter the HEDDs are the ones to go for, since I produce acoustic stuff I went for the ATC’s at twice the price because of the unbeatable mid-range but the ATC’s, unfortunately, are somewhat lacking in the lows. Also the ATC’s lack room correction bar a 3db bass option so you’re room needs to be good. The HEDDs have numerous options to tailor the monitors to your room.

If I could keep both I would but I can’t justify that unfortunately. I’ll be sad to see them go as even day to day listening of your record collection is a treat on these too.

There is a small chip to the outer coating on the bottom right corner of the left hand speaker that one of the runners did when setting them up for me to listen to, as acknowledged by Richard, but this doesn’t affect playback and isn’t really noticeable day to day. Other than that they are excellent condition and were unused when I bought them back in May.

They retail brand new at £4,765 a pair.

These are heavy but do come with the original boxes and packaging. Could possibly deliver or meet half way if preferred but please reach out before buying to discuss please.
