Pendletone Effects Second Order Overdrive – Hand-Built SD-1-Style Overdrive

Second Order Overdrive brings classic SD-1-style asymmetric clipping to a hand-built Pendletone pedal, with straightforward controls and a bold yellow enclosure.

Its circuit is built around the familiar combination of focused mids, restrained bass, and smooth overdrive. Use it for gritty rhythm playing and sustained leads, or keep Drive low and raise Volume to push an already driven amplifier.

**Controls**

• VOL — Sets the output level. Match your bypassed volume or push the amplifier or next pedal harder.

• DRIVE — Adjusts the amount of overdrive, from lighter breakup to a more saturated response.

• TONE — Adjusts the tonal balance from darker and warmer to brighter and more cutting.

Second Order has a deliberately voiced midrange. Players seeking a flat-response clean boost or heavy standalone distortion may prefer a different type of pedal.

Hand assembled by Pendletone Effects in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, using through-hole components on professionally manufactured printed circuit boards.
