Advanced Audio CM251 Tube Mic 2022 Silver Telefunken ELA M 251 microphone Clone

The Telefunken ELA M 251 is widely considered the holy grail of large-diaphragm tube condenser microphones, revered for its smooth, present midrange, extended low-end response, and a uniquely airy, silky top-end.

The Advanced Audio CM251 is a large-format condenser tube microphone based on the famous ELA M251. Like the original ELA M251 it is an outstanding choice for vocals. Historically, the original was used on countless hit records and recordings, including Joni Mitchell and Sade'.   Legendary producer Jack Douglas loved the CM251 so much he bought a 2nd one from us.  Advanced Audio’s CM251 emulates the smooth and present character of the original, while staying true to our own circuit designs by not simply designing a clone but improving the original circuit specifications.

Really great mic! Have been using a ribbon mic for my very narrow range and sibilant voice (although I love the top end on this, and it sounds fantastic with my female singer) and need to recoup funds for some other "real life" expenses I have. Works perfectly and comes with everything you'd get when purchasing the mic new. This one also has the upgraded head basket not stock on the mic. Power supply has some minor scratches that do not affect the function.
