A pedal producing mysterious effects, made from around 1972 by Keio-Giken (now KORG).
Housed in a very large enclosure, it is basically a wah-fuzz, but this masterpiece also produces a highly unique effect called "SINGING." SINGING simulates a sound like a human voice singing, with the pitch controlled by the pedal. It can be used with the fuzz on, but tends to be overpowered by the fuzz. Controls: "SINGING" sets the level of the SINGING sound, "FUZZ" sets the fuzz level, "TRAVELER" controls the dry signal when the fuzz is off, and "PEAK" adjusts the wah peak. Hard to imagine from a description alone, but players confident in their footwork may even be able to make it "sing." The battery compartment cover on the underside shows impressive Japanese craftsmanship. The internal circuit board is, for some reason, potted. The model itself is rare, and an example that still retains its white rubber pedal cover is unusual. A historic pedal from the early days of KORG, which later became one of Japan's leading manufacturers.
*The rubber pedal cover has partially deteriorated with age; please handle with care.
*Battery snap has been replaced.
Era: 1970s
Accessories: box (heavy wear, signs of repair)
Staff: Sano
Warranty: 1 month from date of purchase.
