This here is a 1976 PR modded by Paul Rivera himself! These Rivera Hot Rods are a piece of music history!

During his late 70s tenure at Valley Arts Guitar, Paul Rivera began modding stock Deluxes and PRs into devastatingly versatile, high-headroom studio amps.

Working directly with LA session heavyweights like Steve Lukather, Larry Carlton, and Jay Graydon, Rivera solved the era's biggest recording dilemma....getting rich, harmonic sustain and singing overdrive at volumes that wouldn't blow out an engineer's console or bleed into the drum mics.

This 76 PR has an added rear panel midrange control, presence circuit, and master volume. The gain stage is activated by a push-pull pot where the bass knob is.

With a JBL D120F, this amp can hold full low end clarity and tight high end definition under heavy saturation.

This amp was modded by Paul for a blues hall of fame artist out of San Diego and I acquired it from one of his students. Photos of the chasis and wiring were sent to Rivera and Paul verified his work. Email chain can be shared up on interest with buyers.

If you know the history of these amps you know how special these amps were. After all, Fender found out about the popularity of Pauls mods that they hired him to revamp their entire line of amps.
