The MACKIE DL1608 is an excellent iPad controlled mixer. 16 inputs, 2 stereo and 6 Aux outs. This model features iPad (lightning connector) tray into which fits the included iPad. The sound is very good- smooth without weirdies. One of the best features is the VERY smooth compressor algorithm. It can be pushed hard but maintain an unobtrusive sound. No squashing or pumping. Of course your experience may be different. Also the EQ, both parametric-ish and Graphic with RTA (spectral analysis) pinpoints feedback rapidly. I have used this rig in an event with 5 wireless theatre mics. 2 chooir mics, Anncr and Piano mics and it was excellent. The iPad also will connect wirelessly to a dedicated hotspot (not provided) so you can roam the area and still control the mixer. Or add a second iPad or computer for total control. The Mackie Master Fader control app is very well designed (compared to most other apps) You can set up shows and practice offline before connecting to hardware. I really enjoy this unit. It compares favorably with most of the similar digital mixers in sound and convenience of use. Includes power supply.
