Olds Recording cornet w/Mt. Vernon 7C + three mutes 1957
Our users rate Reverb
This Olds Recording cornet is in great playing condition. Conservatively graded due to finish wear.
Made circa 1957 in the Fullerton, California production facility, this horn has the sweet tone and easy playability these horns are known for.
There's lacquer loss as pictured, as well as evidence of previous dent removal, but no signs of serious trauma, and the horn seems well cared for overall. A few dings remain towards the rear of the bell stem (pictured).
The valves are amazingly clean for a horn of this era, with no discernable wear (see images).
All tunings crooks move freely, and the third valve tuning mechanism is buttery smooth.
Sale includes original case in excellent condition with fully functional latches, a Bach Mt. Vernon 7C mouthpiece, and three mutes as pictured.
