USED ISTANBUL Double-Stamped Pre-Split Turk Ride 19" 2350g

A used Istanbul Double-Stamped ("W Name") Pre-Split Turk Ride has just arrived.

This cymbal dates from the era before the famous split into Istanbul Agop and Istanbul Mehmet, representing the highly regarded pre-split Istanbul period. It offers the distinctive manufacturing techniques and sound character unique to that era, quite different from modern production models.

True to its Turk Ride designation, it delivers a controlled, earthy tone with complex overtones and a dry, musical character. At 19" and 2350g, this is a notably heavy example for a Turk-style cymbal, providing a strong, defined stick sound and powerful attack with excellent projection.

Unlike the thinner Turk models often associated with darker, washier sounds, this heavier cymbal produces a bold and authoritative ride voice with substantial presence. It is particularly well-suited for situations where the ride cymbal needs to cut through a band mix, including rock, funk, and other amplified musical settings.

Another key attraction is its double-stamped ("W Name") pre-split specification, a configuration that has become increasingly difficult to find. It is a great opportunity to experience the character and craftsmanship of a true vintage Istanbul cymbal.

As a used item, the cymbal shows overall signs of wear and exhibits significant rust. There is visible age-related cosmetic deterioration, so please review its condition carefully before purchasing.
