Rare Paiste PROTOTYPE Twenty Series CRASH 18” Light Ride 1622

Here’s a stunning cymbal from Paistes FIRST modern foray into Hand Hammered cymbals.
Literally.
One of the FIRST ONES! A Factory Stamped “PROTOTYPE” from their Original Twenty Series.
Incredibly clean too - especially for being about 17 years old! PERFECT Shape!
Dark. Full. And projects very well.

This particular 18” spawned the Original Twenty Series and the entire Twenty Series blossomed from THAT seed!
1622 grams which is a pinch thinner than the standard model I have.
Plays like a DARK Medium Full Crash, definitely more complex than standard Paiste 2002s and Signatures - and that was the whole idea! This is Hand Hammered and you can tell.
Still very Paiste clean! Like Paiste had a long weekend tryst with Istanbul. That’s the vibe.
Makes a beautiful small LIGHT COMPLEX RIDE with a delicate touch.
Super clean. No longer available. Perfect for medium low to loud settings.
