Get into real analog multitrack recording with a classic MCI JH-110B 1" 8-track. MCI tape machines were used in professional studios throughout the ’70s and ’80s and helped define the sound of that era. They’re still prized today for their warm, punchy tape character and very solid build.

This machine has been serviced and is in fully working condition. It records and plays back cleanly on all 8 tracks, and the transport and electronics are working as they should.

Why the JH-110 is a great 1" 8-track

• Fast, tight punch-ins. Most 1" 8-tracks punch in slowly, but the JH-110 series is known for quick, accurate punches.
• Three speeds: 7.5, 15 and 30 IPS. Each speed has its own alignment adjustments, so you can switch between them and hear the difference in tape character.
• Modular, serviceable design. Each channel’s electronics are on separate plug-in cards, which makes troubleshooting and long-term maintenance easy.
• Easy to work with modern gear. Use a small mixer as a front end for an all-analog setup, or connect it to your DAW. You can also send in-the-box tracks out to tape for analog color before mixing.
• Eight tracks at once. It’s a fast, practical tracking format for full bands or for printing stems.
