JBL PRX425 15" Two-Way Loudspeaker System

The PRX425 is a compact yet powerful two-way cabinet that delivers extended low-frequency response without requiring a separate subwoofer. Its 74 lb frame makes it portable enough for mobile rigs while maintaining the robust construction needed for reliable performance in demanding live sound applications.

Audio Performance

Dual 15" woofers paired with a 1" compression driver produce 100 dB SPL sensitivity and peak output of 134 dB SPL, easily covering vocals, instruments, and DJ playback across venues from clubs to mid-sized venues. The 61 Hz – 16 kHz frequency response (±3 dB) with low-end extension to 48 Hz (–10 dB) ensures tight bass articulation and full-range clarity without sacrificing punch.

Design & Build Quality

The enclosure features a tough birch/poplar multi-laminate plywood construction with DuraFlex™ finish to withstand repeated touring and transport. A heavy-duty 16-gauge perforated steel grille with acoustic screen backing protects components while the SonicGuard™ protection safeguards the high-frequency driver from over-excursion.
