Martin 000-28 E Eric Clapton L.R. Baggs Anthem 2022

Today we are delighted to offer you a truly special specimen of this meticulously detailed replica of the Martin 000-28, which was designed specifically for Eric Clapton. The original was used by the Blues legend for his legendary 1992 MTV Unplugged performance and will surely forever be associated with the memory of his legendary rendition of the acoustic version of “Layla” and the live premiere of the emotional “Tears in Heaven.” This particular guitar stands out above all for its distinctive appearance. It looks as if you’re looking at an old guitar from the 1930s. The body has darkened exceptionally over time, the binding features an authentic vintage shade and even the finish on the headstock complements the overall appearance. But this isn’t just a unique instrument visually — the 000-28 Signature Eric Clapton is also thoroughly impressive in terms of tone. The guitar sounds as if it has been played in for years — round and well-balanced. It shows its strength even when strumming, but it is especially highly recommended for fingerpicking. It has a very direct response with a beautiful, woody tone and a superb frequency range. Of course you can also enjoy its excellent playability — the compact body fits perfectly against your body and its Clapton-specific, slightly flatter neck V-profile makes it extremely comfortable to play. ...and for live performances an L.R. Baggs Anthem pickup rounds out this unique package. The guitar will be in mint condition when it reaches its future owner.
