Drummer From Another Mother (DFAM) is a highly interactive, semi-modular analog percussion synthesizer that is completely different from traditional drum machines. Hand-assembled one by one at a factory in Asheville, North Carolina, the DFAM is the first synthesizer to join the Mother32 family and offers a hands-on approach to creating percussion patterns.With no patching required, people of all ages can quickly create new, unique, and rhythmic patterns.

Driven by an easy-to-use analog sequencer, the DFAMfs inspiring sound begins with a white noise generator and two wide-range analog oscillators. Hard sync and FM cross-modulation between the oscillators allow for seamless transitions between rhythmic pulses, instantly evoking resonant bass and resonance. DFAMfs distinctive sound is shaped by a versatile ladder filter with two selectable modes. Low-pass mode gives each sound impact and a wide soundstage, while high-pass mode creates naturally expressive strikes, spikes, and subtle accents.

The DFAM behaves almost like a living organism, responding to different people in different ways. Three dedicated analog envelopes dynamically interact with the sequencer, allowing tribal thuds to take a breath, industrial influences to evolve, and sonic chaos to swirl around the knobs.

The DFAM comes with a complete set of patch cables that unlock access to the 24-point modular patch bay. You can create new sounds and unique behaviors, synchronize the DFAM and Mother-32 without limitation, or fully integrate this analog instrument into a modular Eurorack system.

Through repeated experimentation and discovery, we have created an analog instrument with infinite expressive power and potential.
