The bottom edge of the body has a cluster of holes from different tailpieces being installed and removed. There are extra drill holes and imprints on the back of the headstock from different tuners over the years. The metal hardware has a nice patina.
Modifications/Repairs: The headstock has been broken off and repaired. There are small crack repairs on the top, near the output jack and tone knobs. These repairs are stable and not affecting playability. The tuners have been reamed out for Grovers but original Kluson Deluxe tuners have been reinstalled. The truss rod cover, nut, switch tip, tuner bushings, bridge thumbwheels, saddles and studs have all been replaced. The wiring harness from a 1962 SG has been installed. Both pickup leads have been spliced. There is a route in the body underneath pick guard. The tailpiece was replaced. There are filled holes in the top from a B7 Bigsby installation and removal.
Serial Number: 15738
Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with low action and optimal neck relief. The frets are tall with light play wear. The serial number dates to 1961.
