Just added a video demo of this guitar.

I purchased this guitar from True Vintage Guitars in Birmingham, AL while I was living in North Carolina 3 or so years ago. You can find their webpage with the description of this guitar easily on Google. Most of you probably know that this Epiphone was made by Gibson at the Kalamazoo, MI factory by the same workers, with the exact same materials as the Gibson LG-2 guitar. The only difference is the cosmetics of the burst finish. The Epiphone burst goes out towards the edges of the top while the Gibson stays more in the center

The most important thing to note about this particular guitar is that it has the 1-11/16" nut. Most Cortez guitars you will see for sale have the longer Epiphone headstock and the 1-9/16" nut. Though similar looking, the Epiphone and Gibson guitars with the narrower nut are much less desirable because they are more difficult to play.

Also worth mentioning, when I purchased this guitar it came with the original adjustable plastic tailpiece/saddle. I had my luthier in NC (Greg Hanson of Hanson & Crawford) replace this with a period correct rosewood bridge and custom compensated bone saddle. The results are wonderful and this guitar has never sounded or played better.

Upon moving to Colorado 2 years ago I let this guitar acclimate to the dryness and had Mike at Woodsongs Lutherie go over the guitar and make sure everything is in order. I play music professionally and any instrument I sell is always stage ready and issue free. This guitar is certainly no exception.

There are bumps and bruises all over this instrument.  But everything about this Cortez is solid and stable.  There are no cracks, loose braces etc.

• Shipping is free to continental US.  Guitar will be shipped via UPS ground, will be packed very well and include insurance.  Upon receipt you will have 2 days to decide if you love this guitar.  If you are not satisfied you can return it to me just as I shipped it, No questions asked.  You will pay return shipping.  I will also deduct the outgoing shipping in your refund.

*I had a K&K pickup installed so you are ready to go plug in and perform. This pickup sounds especially nice in this guitar. You get way less boomy tone versus a dreadnaught guitar.

**The HSC pictured comes with the guitar and is not original to the guitar. It is too big for this guitar but it works just fine.

***The guitar is pictured without a truss rod cover. I do have the cover and will put it back on. It simply was forgotten when Woodsongs did the once over on this guitar recently.
