Griego Artist Trombone/Euphonium Mouthpiece-6 / E

Discover a new dimension of rich, expressive, and core-centered sound with the Griego Artist Large Bore Mouthpiece. Originally engineered to meet the uncompromising standards of the world’s elite orchestral trombonists, the Griego Artist line has quietly become a premier secret weapon for elite euphonium players worldwide.

By providing unparalleled slotting, a velvety-smooth response, and a singing upper register, this series helps players unlock the true, warm, and expansive capabilities of their instruments.

We are proud to offer the highly sought-after 6 and 7 Series in their specialized deep-cup configurations (E and F models). If you are looking to maximize your euphonium’s tonal depth and resonance without sacrificing pitch stability, these large-bore models are designed specifically for your needs.

While many mouthpieces on the market force a trade-off between a muddy low register or a thin high register, the Griego Artist Series uses a unique proportional cup depth and throat progression.

• The Modular Design: Every model within a Series (e.g., Series 6) features the exact same cup diameter and comfortable rim shape. This allows you to effortlessly step up in cup depth (from E to F) to find your perfect sonic resistance without altering the physical feel on your embouchure.

• Exceptional Intonation: The precise throat and backbore balance ensures that your euphonium slots beautifully across all registers, from the pedal register to high range.

• Large Bore Shank Only: Currently available exclusively in large shank configurations, fitting all standard professional-level euphoniums.

Slightly larger than a standard Bach 5, the 6 Series provides a rich, commanding feel that balances stability and openness.

• 6E (Medium-Deep Cup | Throat: .283" / 7.19mm): Designed for players seeking an incredibly wide, expansive width of sound in all registers. It delivers an incredibly warm, broad projection perfect for lyrical solo playing and wind band ensembles.

• 6F (Deep Cup | Throat: .283" / 7.19mm): The ultimate tone-darkener. If you tend to have a naturally bright sound, the deeper cup of the 6F enriches and darkens your tonal quality while maintaining stunning clarity and presence.

Directly corresponding to a standard Bach 5 cup diameter, the 7 Series incorporates a wider, more forgiving Artist-contour rim for premium comfort and endurance.

• 7E (Medium-Deep Cup | Throat: .283" / 7.19mm): Offers the same massive, room-filling sound width of the E-cup design, but tailored to the highly familiar and responsive Bach 5 rim size. Excellent for effortless high-register playing without thinning your sound.

• 7F (Deep Cup | Throat: .283" / 7.19mm): An elite choice for the dedicated euphonium soloist. The 7F provides a deep, luxurious, and velvet-like tone. It tames overly brilliant overtones, adding a massive, dark core to your sound.
