Vintage Ariston RD60 Transcription Turntable - Made in Scotland - Plays Clean
Up for sale is a fantastic, vintage Ariston RD60 transcription belt-drive turntable. Proudly manufactured in Scotland, Ariston decks are legendary among audiophiles for their exceptional engineering, minimalist design, and outstanding analog playback quality.
This unit is in great overall shape and plays music beautifully with a full, rich sound. It features its original factory-fitted tonearm (highly reliable, precision Japanese engineering made by Jelco for Ariston).
Please note that due to its vintage age, it appears to be running just a fraction slow when compared side-by-side with digital tracks. It likely just needs a standard, inexpensive replacement belt (typically $20–$30 online) or a fresh drop of bearing oil, which is completely normal maintenance for a classic turntable of this vintage.
Cosmetically, the turntable is clean and well-preserved. There is a light, typical surface scratch on the clear plastic dust cover, but it remains structurally sound with no cracks. The plinth and overall body look fantastic.
