DESCRIPTION

Mesa/Boogie TriAxis Version 2.0 programmable all-tube guitar preamplifier, from the early Version 2 production era.

Factory serial number T2799 falls within Mesa/Boogie's documented Version 2.0 production range of T1631–T5199, covering January 1993 through March 1997.

This production version originally featured the sought-after TX4 Recto circuit board, delivering the Recto Vintage sound in Lead 1 Red mode, along with MIDI Continuous Control functionality.

The TriAxis combines an all-tube analog signal path with digitally controlled parameters, allowing players to recall classic Mesa/Boogie amplifier voicings from programmable presets.

SERIAL NUMBER AND PRODUCTION HISTORY

Serial T2799 identifies this preamp as belonging to the original Version 2.0 production range.

According to Mesa/Boogie's historical documentation, Version 2.0 introduced the TX4 Recto circuit and MIDI Continuous Control in January 1993.

The later factory Phat Mod was introduced beginning at serial T5200 in March 1997. Consequently, T2799 predates factory installation of that modification. Any subsequent modification to this particular unit has not been verified.

COSMETIC CONDITION

Used vintage rack equipment showing substantial cosmetic wear consistent with previous installation and use.

Visible wear includes scratches, scuffs, finish wear on the rack mounting ears, marks on the chassis and wear/cloudiness on the front control overlay.
