Luxman M-900U // Preowned / Solid State Stereo Amplifier

The Luxman M-900u is one of those rare solid-state flagships that makes you forget you've been pining for tubes — an enormous, imposing machine that somehow sounds utterly effortless. Built around ODNF 4.0 and a 4×2 bipolar push-pull output stage fed by a 1,250VA transformer, it delivers authority that never tips into aggression: bass with real weight and pitch definition, a midrange full of texture and dimensionality, and a high end that simply extends without ever hardening. The illuminated analog meters add a theatrical, almost ceremonial quality to listening sessions, dancing quietly in the Class A zone at everyday levels. Discontinued in 2021 and succeeded by the M-10X, the M-900u stands as the fully matured expression of Luxman's 'u-series' engineering philosophy — and used prices keep reminding you just how hard this kind of sound is to find at any price.
