From Discomfort:

The You Are the Ultrastar is a limited-edition stereo effects pedal created as a one-time collaboration between Discomfort Designs and NotPedals. Released on August 24, 2026, the pedal was sold as a single-run drop and will not be reissued.

Key Features and Architecture

• Dual-Sided Layout: Streamlines signature elements from Discomfort Designs' existing Phantom Limb and Riemann's Grave pedals into a single stereo unit.

• Randomized Micro-Looper Side: Features nine self-triggering micro-loopers that capture your playing and throw back cut-up, reversed, stretched, and pitched fragments.

• Controls: Chance (probability of loops firing), Length (buffer size), and a Multiplier switch (x1, x4, or x24 against the internal clock).

• Reverb & Clang Texturizer Side: Combines a one-knob reverb (with decay control) and a three-mode Clang texturizer.

• Clang Modes: Ring modulation, bitcrushing, and frequency shifting.

• Controls: Wet mix, tone, and a Pre/Post/In toggle to route the effect order.
