Telefunken u629 Mic Pre-Amp/Limiters

These vintage Telefunken mic pre-amp/limiters were taken from the talkback section of a console and racked into a DIY enclosure. Similar to a Level-Loc, they are killer for smashing drums. They have tone and character for days, but are not exactly Hi-Fi. If you want a unique way to get crushed, gritty sounds, these u629s will definitely do the trick.

Note: The second channel is not working as well as the first. I received them in that condition and I couldn't sort it out so I brought it to a tech, and he couldn't figure it out either. At some point the working channel was modded, and my tech didn't feel great about trying to figure out and replicate the mods on the second channel as they were pretty invasive, requiring drilling into the pcb, so I decided to leave it alone and just use the one channel.
