Up for sale is a mid-1970s Zen-On RLN-50, a high-quality Japanese set-neck Les Paul Custom-style guitar in excellent condition for its age.
These were built in Japan (Hayashi Gakki) for the domestic market and are much less common than the usual Greco or Tokai copies from the same era. Solid construction with a set neck, multi-ply binding, and gold hardware.
Specs / Features:
• Model: Zen-On RLN-50
• Finish: Black (Black Beauty style)
• Construction: Set-neck
• Fingerboard: Bound with block inlays
• Hardware: Gold (bridge, tailpiece, tuners, pickup covers)
• Pickups: Dual humbuckers
• Controls: 2 Volume, 2 Tone, 3-way toggle
• Original hard case included
• Full original case candy (warranty card, silicone cloth, tags, etc.)
Condition:
Excellent for a 50-year-old guitar. Clean overall with only light play wear. Neck is straight, frets have plenty of life, electronics work perfectly, and it plays great. Comes with the original hard case and all the original paperwork/case candy.
A really nice, complete example of a lesser-seen Japanese Les Paul from the golden era of MIJ instruments.
Local pickup preferred in the Middletown / Orange County NY area. Shipping available at buyer’s expense (carefully packed).
