Day Sequerra FM REFERENCE 25th ANNIVERSARY • Just Incredible !!!

Up for sale is my Day Sequerra FM Reference 25th Anniversary Edition FM Tuner. It is hands down one of the finest examples ever to be offered of this iconic piece of high end audio that you will find anywhere on today's pre-owned market.

It was originally "Especially Handcrafted" for Arthur Blumenthal by David Day and the team at Day Sequerra (see photo of the special plaque adorning the rear of the chassis). Mr. Blumenthal was the former president of Acoustic Research who acquired Day Sequerra in the 1980’s. I am the 2nd owner of this magnificent FM tuner and sent it back to Day Sequerra last year to have the 25th Anniversary upgrade performed (see the included link for more info on this upgrade). It operates without exception and aesthetically is a true jewel. The black anodizing is still very black and shows no signs of fading. So many examples you'll find now or in the past have had their black anodizing fade either turning a purple hue or chalky brown. This one has none of that. All the fasteners are original as are all the buttons, which are also prone to fading but are clean and crisp. The entire case is free of any scratches, marks or dings and the only imperfection I can find is the left side edge of the faceplate where the shipping bag and foam rubbed against the finish. You can see this in the 3rd photo. However, these photos were taken in extreme light and, frankly, I never noticed this slight imperfection until I took these photos. A minor thing, really, considering the overall condition and the historical provenance of this FMR.

Check out all the hi-res photos and verify its condition for yourself.

PLEASE CHECK OUT THE RECENT VIDEO OF THE TUNER IN OPERATION - or you can copy and paste this link directly into YOUTUBE where the video is hosted:

The sale includes a new Factory Box, Factory Foam Packing and Power Cord. I've never had an owner's manual for it, but it's very intuitive to operate.

Lastly, it has been displayed in a non-smoking, incense free, child free, pet free and cologne and perfume free home and is guaranteed to be free of any greasy fingerprints, strange odors or any other funk!

Read my stellar feedback and purchase with complete confidence. It is listed elsewhere and subject to prior sale so do not hesitate as I expect it to sell quickly so do not miss this opportunity if you've been pining for one! These are becoming as rare as hen's teeth! When you factor in the cost of a pristine FM Reference with a working CRT scope (that is, IF you can find one) that will cost between $4,000 and $5,000 THEN you add the $4,000+ cost of the 25th Anniversary upgrade it's clear that my asking price represents somewhat of a not-to-miss deal.
