I have a freshly made 2026 Gibson Les Paul Standard 60s here in the very cool color of Sparkling Burgundy, which is a metallic colored top. It comes with its hard shell case and pictured paperwork.
Conditionally, this guitar looks nice, with some light signs of playwear that I will describe for you.
The body top shows some light surface scratches above the pickups from guitar pick strumming. These are not deep scratches, but rather the little swirls from guitar picks running across the finish. So there's a little of that. There are some traces of scattered superficial swirling here and there, but no accumulation or buildup. The original film sticker sleeve protector is still on the pickguard.
The body sides/edges look excellent across the perimeter. I found one tiny, thin scratch on the upper body edge that's about the same consistency as guitar pick strumming and is about half an inch long. I didn't find any chips, dings, or indentation bumps, or any buildup of surface swirling. Any faint traces of surface swirling are scattered and minimal.
The body back shows no buckle rash or worming. Nor did I find any dings or penetrating finish scratches. There will be faint, scattered superficial signs of use, though, just a little bit here and there. But there is no built up sheen of light playwear. There's no clusters of swirling or pattern playwear.
The neck shaft contour looks and feels excellent, with nothing to report there. The headstock looks great. I see, again, just faint traces of use, but nothing describable. I didn't find any chips, impressions, or dings. The frets are tall and full, showing no pitting or divots. The setup is dialed in and plays fantastic. The original electronics are working like they should, and the hard shell case is in excellent condition.
This one rates a 9.2/10 and grades as excellent. I found no notable marks or playwear. It shows scattered surface signs of use here and there only. The pictures do it justice. It's an attractive guitar and definitely has that popping, lustrous, like new look to it, being a 2026 model. It is structurally and sonically sound and plays and performs great.
This model of Les Paul is very comparable to a good Les Paul Standard from the good ole days of the 1990's. It has a nice density to it. It is also the replacement to the popular LP Traditional.
This one has the 60s neck which i would describe as moderately slender. Not a shred neck thin. But a comfortable moderate slender neck.
So there is pretty much no bells and whistles here. Just a well built LP, that is comparable and not out of it's league next to a Historic reissue Les Paul. But at more reasonable price point.
So overall this is a familiar style Les Paul that will appeal to many players wanting that stripped down, return to form incarnation of the Les Paul. It's sounds impressive tonally but also has a familiar tone to it, a return more than a departure.
Note that this listing may come down at anytime as I am a multi-platform seller and do sell locally and on my own Site as well in an effort to keep sales fluid. State sales tax will be charged on Reverb sales when applicable, so factor that in to your purchase.
I will immaculately pack it as well. I use quality shipping boxes, ample tape on all sides. And sufficient bubble wrap filler and bracing inside the box. And always Marked/denoted as fragile. I generally detune guitars 1/2 half step prior to shipment as well if needed.
Thank you for reading and considering!
