The LinnStrument is a highly expressive grid-based MIDI controller designed by Roger Linn that transforms finger-based gestures into musical performance. With a surface of velocity-, pressure- and X/Y motion-sensitive pads it offers a “fretless guitar meets keyboard” vibe for electronic, ambient, progressive and experimental styles. Notable users include Jordan Rudess (of Dream Theater), Fontaine Burnett and Max Bajzek. Its feel can go from dark and gritty bass slides to bright digital lead sweeps with subtle expressive nuances.
