1964 Fender Precision Bass, with a light relic Fiesta Red Refin by the pros at MJT Guitars.

Fast and comfortable A neck (1.5" nut), and an absolute pleasure to play. Only 8.1 lbs.

This was a birth year sentimental purchase for me, so it has spent its time

in the hardshell case in a climate controlled room.

Here is the description from the Seller I purchased it from about 8 or 10 years ago :

This is a 64 p bass thats a body and neck refin but with original hardware/electronics/pickguard (filled extra hole)/case but the thumbrest is a reissue. I bought this from a guy in burbank years ago who had owned it since the 60's but was selling it to make a house payment. I had the olympic white finish done in nitro. there is a touched up ding on the edge.

i havent had this apart since i bought it but the neck is stamped 64 (7 prefix so im sure someone in the 60's swapped necks. i wouldnt bet this came with a jazz neck from the factory). round lam board and clay dots. The pots are dated 64 and the pickup is the original black bottom that measures around 12k. i dont really have a desire to take this apart again. do a search on my posts and youll see that im straight up with these old fenders.

perfectly straight neck with the original frets. super low great action up and down the board. the tone and playability is off the charts on this bass. the only funky thing is the pots. i usually keep them dimed because theyre kind of staticy when turning them. id probably put some new pots in if you want to roll off tone alot. i didnt want to swap out the original pots so never did it.

** I had the MJT Fiesta Red light relic (was shooting for a Pino vibe) done immediately when i purchased it.
