A vintage Martin D-12-28 12-string acoustic guitar with a great, rich sound and plenty of potential for the right buyer. This is a classic American-made Martin dreadnought and a great opportunity for a luthier, experienced guitar player, or vintage Martin enthusiast looking for a rewarding restoration project.

The guitar has a beautiful, full 12-string sound. The back is in excellent condition, and the instrument is structurally sound. It does need some attention to its playability and cosmetics, so please read the condition notes carefully. It has an active pickup powered by a 9 volt battery.

Condition and repair details

• Playability: The guitar currently buzzes on higher fretted notes and needs repair work before it can be properly set up.
• Saddle: Mass Street Music in Lawrence evaluated the guitar and advised that the saddle is too low and is contributing to the playability issue. The appropriate corrective work has not been determined.
• Pickguard: Needs a replacement pickguard.
• Finish: Visible cracks in the finish. Please see the photos for details.
