Getzen 12C Small Shank Trombone/Baritone Mouthpiece
Our users rate Reverb
This used Getzen 12C small shank trombone mouthpiece comes from the store's "test mouthpiece" stock, cleaned after each use and stored in a protective case.
The Getzen 12C is a vintage, small-shank small-bore tenor trombone mouthpiece—comparable in size and design to the classic Vincent Bach 12C Trombone Mouthpiece.
Tone & Playability: Tends to produce a bright, crisp, and responsive sound, making it popular for beginners or players focusing on the upper register, though it can make the lower/pedal register more challenging to open up compared to deeper mouthpieces like a 6.5AL or 5G.
- Shank Size: Small shank (designed for small-bore student and jazz tenor trombones)
- Cup Diameter: ~24.50 mm (standard 12C sizing)
- Cup Depth: Medium-shallow
