This particular unit comes in a "Blue Turquoise" finish—a cool, striking color that combines a vibrant metallic sheen with a subtle, vintage-inspired aesthetic.

First introduced in 1981, the Reggae Master features a unique, one-of-a-kind look that earned high acclaim and a dedicated following among players from the very beginning.

It boasts a somewhat rare specification: a mahogany body, a maple neck, and a rosewood fretboard.

The fretboard is crafted from Honduran rosewood, applied in a "slab" style.

Adopted as a replacement following the depletion of Madagascar rosewood, this wood is exceptionally dense—an ideal choice for a fretboard.

As many players already know, high-density, high-quality rosewood offers excellent sonic "rebound" (responsiveness).

The result is a superb tone characterized by quick response, great clarity, and the rich, "sticky" midrange typical of fine rosewood.

To ensure modern playability while maintaining a vintage-style appearance, the guitar features a flatter, 305mm-radius (12-inch) fretboard.

This design prevents notes from cutting out during string bends and ensures a smooth, long-lasting sustain. Equipped with H.Y.G. DX P-90 "soapbar" pickups, this instrument delivers a high-quality sound that combines the rich, warm midrange characteristic of mahogany with the tightness and agility typical of single-coil pickups. Perhaps its most defining feature is the ultra-thin lacquer finish, applied from the base coat to the top layer. This exceptionally thin coating allows the natural resonance of the wood to shine through; the instrument’s response—especially when moving from clean to overdriven tones—is truly remarkable and difficult to replicate. This finish perfectly embodies Moon’s core philosophy of "letting the wood resonate," allowing you to feel the vibrations throughout your entire body. Because the lacquer is so thin, the instrument will naturally evolve over time through age and use.
