DiPinto Quark 6 “Thriller”
Our users rate Reverb
More Quark madness!
This one is a 6 string with a laser gun key chain toy installed into it. This key chain is called a “Thriller”. The guitar also has a side slider volume potentiometer that controls the level of the toy.
I took a different approach on this one compared to the other before. Rather than wiring directly into the circuit of the toy, I installed a pickup up against the back of the toy speaker. This way it’s being amplified magnetically and I’m able to blend the volume of the guitar with the toy a little better.
These come to me from the factory with no electronics except the pickups, which sound great after I disassemble one in order to flip the coil to make them hum-canceling.
It’s all hardwired here with CTS pots and vintage rocker switches, stutter switch and of course the vintage key chain toy.
Comes with a DiPinto Custom hard case.
