A stellar offering from Ibanez’s outstanding Artcore line, the AM73G boasts a compact, semi-hollow, double-cutaway body built from premium linden, a basswood-adjacent tonewood with ear-grabbing acoustic properties. Players hunting for a well-built semi-hollowbody electric guitar that can capably cover a large swath of musical ground will find the AM73G a worthy companion, since it combines a slim, solidbody-esque feel with jazz box-worthy resonance. Additionally, jazz aficionados and old-school rockers alike will find the rich, nuanced tone of the AM73G’s Classic Elite humbuckers eminently inspiring. Profound playability abounds with this lightweight guitar, thanks to the set-in nyatoh neck, which is carved into the extremely comfortable Artcore AM shape and capped with an easy-playing bound rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium-sized frets. Moreover, the AM73G is anchored by a Gibraltar Artist bridge and an incredibly stable Quik Change III tailpiece, reinforced by rock-solid Ibanez tuning machine heads. Finally, acrylic block fingerboard inlays and a light-catching gloss finish ensure that all eyes will be on you when you take the stage with this sublime 6-string. Ultimately, the Ibanez Artcore AM73G offers a refined blend of aesthetics and sonic excellence that elevates any performance or session.
