Marsh JTM45 Bluesbreaker 2005
High quality hand-wired clone of the Marshall JTM-45 Bluesbreaker, made by Marsh Amplification circa 2005. Started out as a 2x12 combo. I purchased a head box from Sour Mash cabs, and made an insert for the amp controls space on the now speaker cab. I also experimented with a closed-back panel for the speaker cab. That option panel will be included.
Head was recently serviced by Jeff Snider - checkup, tube swap and bias, and he added a master volume (back panel) that when turned past lowest, clicks off (out of circuit). Very useful if you’re cranking the amp for overdrive, or any combination of pre-amp gain to power amp volume.
The speakers are Scumback H-55, which add more power and low end than the greenbacks it came with.
This amp makes a great pedal platform. At low volumes it produces a nice fat clean tone with a lot of headroom. Perfect for adding overdrive, fuzz and boost pedals. I’ve always gotten compliments on my tone when using this amp. And it looks f$&@ing cool!
