MOTU 16A Thunderbolt/USB/AVB Audio Interface (Original, 1st Gen)

Up for sale is my original MOTU 16A. It’s a 1U interface with 16 balanced analog ins and 16 balanced analog outs, which makes it a strong converter hub for a rack of outboard preamps. Users regularly compare its converters to far more expensive units.

Features:

• 16 balanced 1/4" TRS inputs and 16 balanced 1/4" TRS outputs, up to 24-bit/192 kHz
• 2 banks of ADAT optical I/O, 16 channels at 44.1/48 kHz
• Thunderbolt (1/2) and USB 2.0 connections to the computer
• AVB Ethernet port for networking with other MOTU AVB interfaces such as the 1248, 8M, or another 16A
• 48-channel DSP mixer with reverb, British-console-modeled EQ, and compression, controlled from any browser or tablet
• Word clock in/out, front-panel metering, and a headphone output

Note for newer Macs: this generation uses Thunderbolt 2, so you’ll need Apple’s Thunderbolt 3-to-2 adapter, or you can connect over USB.
