The Citadel is an incredible amp-in-a-box preamp inspired by classic British tube amplifiers of the 1960s and 1970s.
Developed from EAE's legendary Model feT circuit, the Citadel takes a different approach, focusing on the punch, sparkle, and midrange aggression of vintage British amplifiers.
From beautiful, piano-like cleans and edge-of-breakup tones to crunchy plexi-style overdrive and screaming lead sounds, the Citadel delivers outstanding dynamics and touch sensitivity.
Unlike a typical distortion pedal, the Citadel emulates both the preamp and power amp characteristics of a tube amplifier, making it equally useful as a traditional overdrive or as the foundation of an ampless rig.
