The Powers Electric A-Type is a wholly unique electric guitar experience.
Spear-headed by Andy Powers (CEO of Taylor Guitars), these things just scream “VIBE”. The aesthetics alone are enough to make you want to pick it up and play it, but once you feel the neck and how well these resonate and respond…you’ll be hooked.
Pickups are proprietary, hardware is almost all proprietary and it rocks hard. The pickups are somewhere between a finder strat style single coil and a p90 to my ear. Very fun and inspiring to play.
(This one very well could be an A-Type “select” model given the top, I just couldn’t verify so didn’t list it as such. Listing as “very good” for that same reason, but I can’t find any noteworthy scratches etc on it. It’s played, but in fantastic shape.)
I’m moving this along due to taking in a new build that covers similar(ish) territory. This guitar needs to be played!
Includes the original case. (Pictured)
