This Brian May Red Special is a Store Display pedal that was shelved for years. Pretty much brand new!

The DigiTech Brian May Red Special pedal is a highly celebrated "amp-in-a-box" and multi-effects processor designed to accurately replicate the legendary guitar tones of Queen's Brian May.Core Features

  • Production Modeling Technology: DigiTech used proprietary modeling to replicate Brian May’s complete signal chain. This includes his famous homemade Red Special guitar, his customized Treble Booster, multiple Vox AC30 amplifiers, and studio outboard gear.
  • Seven Signature Models: The pedal features seven distinct presets, each representing a legendary Queen track or live setup. Each preset has two distinct modes (A and B), yielding 14 total configurations.
  • Expression Pedal Control: The built-in expression pedal allows you to control specific parameters in real-time, such as the sweep of a wah-wah or the intensity of a pitch-shift effect.

The 7 Tone Models

  • Model 1: "Keep Yourself Alive" â€” Features a tight, flanged intro tone (Mode A) and a heavy, soloing tone (Mode B).
  • Model 2: "Bohemian Rhapsody" â€” Delivers the iconic, smooth operatic solo tone (Mode A) and the heavy rock rhythm outro (Mode B).
  • Model 3: "Tie Your Mother Down" â€” Replicates the aggressive intro tone using a fixed-wah effect (Mode A) and the lead tone (Mode B).
  • Model 4: "We Will Rock You / We Are the Champions" â€” Recreates the massive, layered stadium guitar solo tones.
  • Model 5: "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" â€” Models the rare acoustic intro tone using an acoustic simulator (Mode A) and the bright, slapback-delay Telecaster solo (Mode B).
  • Model 6: "Brighton Rock" â€” Recreates May's legendary live solo setup, utilizing two distinct, alternating delay lines for a massive ping-pong "orchestrated" sound.
  • Model 7: "Deacy Tone / A Winters Tale" â€” Models the unique "Deacy Amp" (built by bassist John Deacon) used for May's signature multi-layered, cello- and horn-like guitar harmonies.

Inputs and OutputsThe pedal features flexible connectivity options on the back panel:

  • Flexible Output (Mono/Stereo): Can be configured to output to a standard guitar amplifier, directly into a mixer/PA system, or split into stereo for the dual-delay and chorus patches.
  • Guitar / Bass Switch: Optimizes the input stage depending on whether you are using a traditional guitar or a bass guitar.
