This is a near-mint Ludwig Acrolite 6.5 x 14" Snare LM405CT with 10 CoB tube lugs and 2 key upgrades that make it AMAZING!!!
Upgrades:
- Heads: New Remo Coated Ambassador X batter, and Remo Ambassador Snare side
- Wires: Puresound 20-strand Wires (more responsive and sensitive than the stock Ludwig 18-strand wires!)
The classic Acrolite is hailed by many as one of the very best and most versatile snares for both recording and live performances. It has a pre EQ’d sound that both front-of-house live performance and recording studio engineers love! It also has a very versatile and wide tuning range, and it loves almost any choice of heads to suit your preference and situation!
This snare combines the best of both the John Bonham Supraphonic LM402 and the Alex Van Halen signature aluminum model, but this one could simply be tweaked as needed with DieCast hoops whenever you want the AVH live sound. So truly best of both worlds and a beast of a snare for almost any genre live or in the studio, but also at a great price vs a new same model that costs $589, or a Supraphonic that costs $699 or an Alex Van Halen Signature model costing way over $1K! Check out the video below to hear how versatile this beast is!
