Simply an outstanding and beautiful guitar, fast through the neck, playing it is a joy, best sounding and playing Gretsch I’ve ever owned, and it’s got loads of mojo/stage presence that will turn every head. I bought this guitar from the grandson of an old New Orleans blues man whose name escapes me but his grandson told me tales of being in the screens growing up. Remarkably, the guitar has no bar smells and was largely pampered although it was played frequently. The bigsby “crooked arm” not only looks cool but is a far superior system to the flat bigsby arms we all know. I’m not sure it was original to the guitar, there are two screw holes in either side of the bigsby base you can see pictured, so at some point there was a modification. The guitar shows very minor/ negligible fretwear and action is excellent in my opinion all through the neck (subjective, of course). The guitar is a player’s guitar and shows minor cosmetic blemishes - two small chips on the headstock (pictured), a surface check in the finish of the upper bout near the armrest, minor scratches and swirlies, some small areas of faint yellowing, etc. All in all, though, it’s an absolute beauty and a guitar that’s been a favorite of mine and my guitar buddies over the last half decade. But, I’mparing down and rarely play large body guitars anymore because I only play sittingon the couch. comes with strap locks, strap, and the original hardshell case which is banged up but serviceable. It’s missing two latches which I believe can be replaced.

Shipping costs are on the rise, and my shipping price covers box and materials, AND Reverb's insurance which will run around $50 on this guitar.  It will be packaged well in an appropriate box, with at least an extra layer of cardboard around it (where possible) in addition to bubble, foam, etc as necessary to protect while in transit. 

Please note that I also check shipping prices, fully insured, through Shipnerd and reserve the right to ship through them if Reverb rates seem inordinately high.  They invariably partner with UPS just like reverb, and tracking is still provided through reverb, but also through Shipnerd and the carrier.

Also, I list all my for sale items across multiple platforms (Facebook Marketplace, gear page, a few bulletin boards, and by word of mouth among my guitar buddies and at jams). Obviously, my Louisiana peeps have an advantage buying locally, but Reverb is an amazing marketplace and I price my items competitively. I entertain reasonable offers and try as hard as I can to be a straight shooter and describe items and answer questions accurately and honestly. If you're watching this guitar and it suddenly vanishes, I may have temporarily deleted the listing if I've agreed to show the guitar to someone locally in the immediate future. Usually someone willing to drive to Baton Rouge to see gear is legitimately prepared to buy but if such a deal fall through I’ll reactivate the listing and it should come up again in your follow list.
