I'm regretfully selling my Brent Hinds V. This guitar is awesome. Many people regard it as one of the best modern Epiphones and it is clear why. It has a mahogany body and neck with a bound ebony fretboard. It's a good weight. The neck is fantastic. The Lace Sensor pickups are some of my favorite pickups I've ever heard. The silverburst finish is absolutely beautiful. And Mastodon is basically the greatest band.

Overall the guitar is in really good shape. However I will point out all of the issues so people are sure of exactly what they're getting. There are a few minor dings in the finish that you can only see when the light hits just right, which is par for the course for a 10 year old guitar that has been played. There's a minor scratch on the back lower section of the guitar. I can't quite capture it in a picture, but in the right lighting you can see where the lacquer shrank which reveals the multiple pieces of wood that make up the body. Probably the most notable issue though is that the binding has cracked in a few places. Apparently they didn't trim the fret tangs back enough at the factory. This doesn't interfere with playability at all, but you will see it. I've read that this is a common issue with this guitar?

This guitar is all original with the exception of the Shadow Kill Pot being replaced with a standard CTS pot by the previous owner. It is currently set up in D standard with 11-56 D'Addario XS Coated strings. I find this lets you hit Mastodon's D, C, and A tunings reasonably well with the same guitar.

I don't want to sell this guitar as I'm a massive fan of Mastodon and I think this guitar is incredibly beautiful, but I find the V body shape really uncomfortable. It doesn't get played enough. This guitar needs to be in the hands of someone who can give it the attention it deserves.
