Giannini AWN300 1974 - Natural Made in Brazil
Vintage 1974–1975 Giannini AWN 300 Brazilian Classical Guitar – Spruce & Rosewood – Schaller Tuners – Hard Case
Vintage Brazilian Craftsmanship – Beautiful Warm Tone – Ideal for Bossa Nova & Brazilian Music
A beautiful and distinctive Giannini AWN 300 classical guitar from approximately 1974–1975, made in Brazil.
This vintage nylon-string guitar is a wonderful example of traditional Brazilian guitar craftsmanship, featuring an elegant aged amber finish, beautifully figured dark wood back and sides, and intricate decorative inlays around the soundhole, body edges, and back.
Approximately 50 years old, this instrument has developed a distinctive vintage character, both visually and musically.
Its greatest quality is its sound: warm, mellow, rich, and expressive.
Particularly well suited to Bossa Nova, Samba, Música Popular Brasileira (MPB), and classical fingerstyle playing, it delivers the intimate and rounded tone associated with traditional Brazilian acoustic music.
Sound & Playability
This guitar sounds beautiful.
It has a warm, rounded, resonant voice, with pleasing bass response and sweet, expressive trebles.
It is especially enjoyable for Bossa Nova, where its warm tonal character complements both delicate fingerpicking and rhythmic chord playing.
The guitar plays very well, with an action of approximately 3.5 mm (0.14").

Upgraded Schaller Tuning Machines
The guitar has been fitted with quality Schaller tuning machines, which I personally purchased and installed.
The tuning machines cost approximately €150 and represent a valuable hardware upgrade.
They provide reliable tuning while preserving the character and appearance of this vintage instrument.
Condition – Authentic Vintage Character
Condition: Good (Vintage).
This is a genuine mid-1970s instrument that has clearly been played and enjoyed throughout its life.
It shows visible signs of age and use, including scratches, small marks, surface imperfections, and wear to the original-looking finish.
There is a noticeable area of worn and partially missing finish on the soundboard, clearly shown in the detailed photographs. The exposed and discolored area gives the guitar a distinctly aged appearance.
The guitar was already in this cosmetic condition when I purchased it. I have chosen to preserve its vintage character rather than refinish it.
The photographs document its cosmetic condition, including the wear on the soundboard and other areas.
Despite its well-used appearance, the guitar plays very well and has a beautiful, warm sound.
For someone who appreciates vintage instruments, its appearance is part of its history and personality.
