Ernie Ball Music Man Majesty Premium Select Mystic Dream – 7-String

Born from the long-standing partnership between Ernie Ball Music Man and John Petrucci, one of the most influential guitar heroes in modern progressive metal and beyond, the Majesty is the flagship of his signature guitar lineup. We are pleased to announce the arrival of the Majesty Premium Select Mystic Dream, a model that takes exceptional tone, precision, and versatility to the highest level.

Finished in the legendary Mystic Dream, a mesmerizing color that shifts from purple to green depending on the angle of the light, this instrument combines a Honduran mahogany neck-through construction with alder body wings and a substantial maple top. Crafted at Music Man’s San Luis Obispo, California facility, it brings together expert craftsmanship and modern precision engineering to deliver the kind of professional instrument sought after by guitarists around the world.

Honduran Mahogany Neck-Through Construction and Premium Tonewoods for Exceptional Sustain

At the heart of the instrument is a neck-through construction made from rare, high-quality Honduran mahogany. The body wings are crafted from alder, chosen for its balanced tonal response and excellent note definition, while a substantial maple top completes this carefully selected combination of tonewoods.

The ergonomically designed body provides effortless access to all 24 frets. Combined with an ebony fingerboard featuring a 17-inch radius and 24 medium jumbo stainless steel frets, the Majesty delivers outstanding playability, whether you're executing blisteringly fast technical passages or exploring expressive, sustained lead tones. The fingerboard is adorned with the striking Atlante Majesty inlays.

DiMarzio Rainmaker / Dreamcatcher Pickups, Fishman Piezo System, and +20 dB Gain Boost

Signature magnetic pickups: The Majesty is equipped with DiMarzio Rainmaker pickups in the neck position and Dreamcatcher pickups in the bridge position—the signature combination behind John Petrucci’s distinctive sound. From smooth, full-bodied lead tones to tight, articulate rhythm sounds that retain their definition during aggressive palm-muted playing, these pickups deliver exceptional clarity across a wide range of styles.

Fishman Powerbridge piezo system: Fishman piezo pickups are integrated into the bridge saddles, allowing you to access the crisp, natural character of an acoustic guitar at the flick of a toggle switch. This adds another dimension of tonal versatility to an already highly capable instrument.

Powerful onboard preamp: Push/push operation of the volume knob activates an onboard gain boost of more than +20 dB, providing a powerful lift when you need your solos to cut through the mix. Combined with the push/push tone control and the mono/stereo switching button on the rear control cavity, the system offers an extensive range of tonal possibilities for both stage and studio use.

Reliable Floating Tremolo and Schaller Locking Tuners

Custom 7-string tremolo: The guitar features a Custom John Petrucci Music Man floating tremolo with a plated, hardened-steel baseplate. It is designed to deliver smooth operation and reliable tuning stability, even during expressive and aggressive tremolo use.

Schaller M6-IND locking tuners: Trusted Schaller locking tuners provide dependable tuning stability and make string changes quick and straightforward—particularly valuable on a 7-string guitar, where maintaining precise tuning can be more demanding.

Noise-reduction design: The body cavity is coated with graphite acrylic resin, while the control cavity cover is made of aluminum. These measures help suppress unwanted noise, even in high-gain 7-string setups.
