A true European synthesizer <> Italian conception/stylish design + German (Waldorf) engine = formidable instrument. In a head-turning Golden Amber/Black casing (aka yellow/black). Colour is more orangey, then yellow, by the way. The photos make it look bright yellow; it is NOT!!
Fatar/Studiologic have absolutely "nailed it" re this product. No attempt has been made to reduce the physical size to conform to the "boutique/compact" format: its a respectable size, weighing just 8.3Kgs/ dims are 96 x 40 x 9 cms.
This synth has presence/personality in buckets. Create your OWN patches, this is "anti-rompler"; its a genuine progrtammable synthesizer. It comes with (copy) manual and a mains cord. This is becoming a true vintage classic synth. Condition is nearly "as new".
Here are the numbers:-THREE banks of oscillators ~ 999 memory slots <> loaded with 99 great patches, which can be used as templates so you can programme your own...this is subtractive synthesis. 24-voice polyphony~61 "synth-action" keys, with velocity & (mono) aftertouch/pressure & 3 velocity curves~arpeggiator~glide~white/pink noise~clear, informative backlit LCD~twin FX onboard (chorus etc & delay/reverb)~stereo/midi/USB outs~hold & swell-pedal sockets~smart auto-voltage select (100>240Vac via fig-of-8 mains cable). Panel layout is a masterpiece of simplicity. We have not seen better.....Studiologic are owned by Fatar....so any future repair can be easy, as the company still exist!
Check the synth out on attached video and elsewhere. Condition is (nearly) "as new". The reviews and ratings are all favourable. Waldorf supplied the "sound engine"...its a "virtual analogue" synthesizer, but has extra waveforms AND FM! We think that this synth blows away other synths at twice the price...no names! Shall we call it a "poor man's Memorymoog", then?.....hell, yes...having THREE banks of oscillators makes that easy......Watch attached video....you will be impressed.
THIS SYNTH IS A KKGB FAVOURITE. THERE IS NOTHING TO TOUCH IT IN THIS PRICE BRACKET.
Here is one review by a Sledge owner/user >>>>
"Very versatile synth with 3 filter modes, good modulation and wave tables, which is not common on hardware synths. The analogue sounds are great, sounds very close to OBERHEIM for its pads, and can sound very MINIMOOG like also. It is an FM synth and can add harmonics via a FM amount knob but it isn't a true FM like a DX7. How it would work is by assigning the ramp LFO to one oscillator and have the second or 3rd oscillator carriers be modulated by osc1 (or osc2 in the case of osc3) so you can make some basic style patches like bells. I like using it to add harmonics to tones. Making patches is fun and straightforward with a knob per function."
