Up for sale is a beautiful vintage 1973 Buffet Crampon R13 Professional B-flat Clarinet, manufactured during the highly sought-after "Golden Era" of Buffet production (Serial Number: 136360). Crafted from premium, dense African Grenadilla wood, this legendary model features the revolutionary poly-cylindrical bore design celebrated by professional orchestral players worldwide for its rich tone, focused projection, and precise intonation.Condition History:
This instrument belongs to a family estate and has been carefully stored in its hard case, sitting completely unplayed since 2010. Because it has been dormant for 16 years, it is being sold strictly in "As-Is" / estate condition.

• Wood: The Grenadilla wood body is in gorgeous cosmetic shape with a beautiful deep grain. No cracks or major structural splits are visible.
• Key Work: The classic Boehm 17-key, 6-ring key mechanism is fully intact. The plating shows normal vintage patina and light cosmetic tarnish consistent with age, but all keys move freely.
• Pads & Corks: Due to long-term storage, the bladder pads and tenon corks are dry and will likely require replacement.

What’s Included:

• Vintage 1973 Buffet Crampon R13 Upper & Lower Wood Joints
• Original Matching Wood Bell & Barrel
• Vintage Mouthpiece with Metal Ligature & Cap
• Original Buffet Crampon Plush-Lined Hard Case

Tech/Buyer Note: This is an incredible opportunity to own a golden-era R13 with massive performance potential. Because it has been unplayed for over a decade, it will require a standard Clean, Oil, and Adjust (COA) or a partial re-pad from a qualified woodwind technician to bring it to its full, peak playing potential. Please review the photos carefully and feel free to reach out with any questions.
