In 2019, Fender boldly reimagined this iconic amp with the Tone Master Twin Reverb, replacing tubes with cutting-edge digital modeling technology. The result? A lightweight (33 lbs/15 kg) amp that faithfully reproduces the tone, dynamics, and feel of the original tube-driven version. Powered by a 200-watt digital amplifier and equipped with dual Jensen N-12K neodymium speakers, the Tone Master delivers vintage sound with modern convenience.
Key upgrades include an attenuator with six power levels (down to 1 watt), a balanced XLR output with impulse response (IR) cabinet simulations for direct recording or PA use, and a USB port for firmware updates. Remarkably, all these features come in an amp that’s about half the weight of its tube counterpart—making it perfect for gigging musicians and home studio setups alike.
