The distinctive midrange grind of Electro-Harmonix's dual op-amp Big Muff circuit meets an expanded control set built for serious tone shaping. Flexible EQ and virtually endless sustain provide the familiar Big Muff foundation, while the Wicker switch, adjustable noise gate, clean blend, and footswitchable mids section open up a broad range of fuzz textures.

Classic Volume, Tone, and Sustain controls set output, overall EQ, and gain. Blend mixes the clean and distorted signals, preserving clarity and attack alongside heavy fuzz, while Gate sets the threshold for suppressing unwanted noise. The three-position Wicker switch opens two levels of additional high-frequency bandwidth for greater brightness, clarity, and presence.

The parametric mids section uses dedicated Frequency and Level controls to boost or cut up to 10 dB across a range of approximately 310 Hz to 5 kHz. A High/Low Q switch selects a narrow, focused response or a broader curve. Connect an expression pedal or 0–5V control-voltage source to sweep the mids frequency in real time for fuzz-wah and animated filter effects. Both the main effect and mids footswitches support normal latching operation or momentary press-and-hold action.
