For your consideration is a 1976 Gibson Firebird Bicentennial in natural finish in very good condition.  This guitar presents well for its age of 50 years.  Finish looks good with minor dings and scratches present.  Notable is some light hazing of the finish, specifically on the neck by where it meets the body and the headstock.  There is also some light finish delamination under and around the low E tuner on the back of the headstock.  The gold hardware looks surprisingly good for its age with the tailpiece studs showing the most wear.  Frets are the wide and low that Gibson was known for in this era.  There is no noticeable wear on the frets and the guitar sets up and plays as it should.  All electronics look to be original.  The two visible pot date codes date to 1976, matching the year for the serial number.  Pickups are Patent number mini humbuckers that come in at about 6k DCR.  Pickguard features the red, white, and blue '76 Firebird in honor of the Bicentennial.  An additional strap button was added at some point to aid in comfort and balance.  Original button is still in place.  Records show that there were less than 300 of these made in natural for this first model year of the Bicentennial.  Comes with original case.
