1972 Fender Mustang Bass refinished in ReRanch Fender Shell Pink Laquer. When I got this bass, it had a pretty rough Dakota Red finish and a customized, or "modified" pick guard. It looked terrible, but was a decent buy. I thoroughly sanded and prepped it, without filling the dents and dings, refinished it in ReRanch Fender Shell Pink lacquer, and then meticulously picked out the existing dings to achieve a pretty legit relic look. The actual distress the bass had gathered from years of use, before I sanded it for paint, is basically the same as it has now after refin. I then set it up with a 3 ply mint pick guard. I also replaced the saddle height adjustment screws with Real Fender parts, because the existing flathead screws were rusted and very difficult to turn. I saved them, and they will come with the bass. Electronic work great, and are original as far as I know. Frets are good, neck is good, truss rod turns good. Weighs about 7.4 lbs. and it has the loose, worn feel and sound a vintage Fender Mustang should. Also listed on a local market place. Thanks for looking!
