Beautiful vintage Marshall 50-watt Plexi amplifier head, believed to date to approximately 1969, during one of the most desirable periods in Marshall amplifier history.

This is an early, small-box, four-input Marshall with gold Plexiglas front and rear panels, classic black levant covering, gold piping, and the unmistakable styling of Marshall's late-1960s British amplifiers.

Believed to be a JMP Model 1987 Lead, this amp represents the transitional period between Marshall's earliest JTM designs and the legendary JMP amplifiers that helped define the sound of rock music.

A Classic Era of Marshall Amplification

The late-1960s Marshall 50-watt amplifiers occupy a special place in electric guitar history.

Prized for their touch sensitivity, dynamic response, and rich British overdrive, these amplifiers became part of the sonic foundation of blues-rock and hard rock.

Unlike modern reissues, an authentic late-1960s example offers the construction, components, and historical character of the original era.

Whether destined for a professional recording studio, a vintage amplifier collection, or a guitarist seeking the classic Marshall experience, this is a particularly compelling piece of British amplifier history.
