Bass drum dampening is a very important component to many players' overall sound. Don't just throw some nasty old pillow in your finely crafted musical instrument. Get the product that was engineered to do the job correctly! The Evans EQ pad is an efficient bass drum muffler that stays securely in place at bottom of your bass drum shell with Velcro. The hinged pad of the EQ Pad bounces off the head, allowing just the right amount of sustain before returning to dampen the vibrating head. A smaller pad on the opposite end can be used on smaller drums or for less dampening. The Evans EQ Pad is the industry standard for bass drum muffling.
