excellent condition -works very well on everything.
Up for sale is a BAE 10DC compressor/limiter, hand-built in California. In excellent condition and fully working, with a clean faceplate and all switches and meters functioning as they should. [
The 10DC is BAE’s take on the classic British discrete compressor, and it’s often compared to the Neve 2254. It’s Class A, transformer-coupled, and all-discrete throughout. It has the thick, musical character you’d expect from that lineage, along with extra headroom suited to modern converter levels.
Features:
- Discrete Class A, transformer-coupled signal path
- Independent compressor and limiter sections, usable separately or together
- Elma stepped switches on every control, so settings are precise and easy to recall
- Variable attack time, which is uncommon on this style of compressor
- Illuminated gain-reduction meter
- True hardware bypass, which passes audio even when the unit is powered off
- Stereo linkable
- Frequency response: 5 Hz to 45 kHz (−1 dB)
